We seek to promote constructive dialogue between superiors and subordinates and expressly encourage individual responsibility throughout our workforce. Staff interviews - that are institutionalised at some sites - serve the following purposes:
To ensure dialogue between superiors and subordinates
To support the career development of staff
To promote commitment and efficiency within the workforce
Tariff and non-tariff employees receive extensive feedback from their superiors. Staff interviews are conducted once a year, in which the strengths and weaknesses of each individual are analysed and potential improvements are sought. By taking personal interests and career perspectives into account, personnel development plans and focal working responsibilities are directly derived from this interview. Care is taken to ensure that these staff interviews do not become employee assessments in the usual sense with direct financial implications.
As far as non-tariff employees are concerned, these interviews also focus on target agreements for the previous year and the coming year. The degree to which the target was reached is taken into account in the determination of the variable remuneration.
