Vinnolit at the K`2001

Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG presents itself at the K`2001 in Düsseldorf with a completely new image. The foremost German PVC producer will use its presence at the largest plastics exhibition in the world to give the plastic material PVC an appropriate forum. An essential part of the exhibition program will be the expert talk "17 Uhr 17" at 17 minutes past 5pm each day.

The joint Managing Directors, Dr. Josef Ertl and Hans-Jürgen Zippel, described the company's objective for this years plastics and rubber exhibition as follows: "At the K`2001 we want to offer our customers and the interested public, but also including the specialist industrial public and the press, a platform for dialogue which goes beyond our day to day business activities, whilst also offering information about new products and innovations. At Vinnolit, not only the raw material PVC but also its use and application are at the core of our activities".

At Vinnolit they are convinced that it is of highest importance to secure the future of the company by promoting a wider acceptance of PVC. The company is actively engaged to achieve this end. In addition to the considerable investment in research and development, environmental interests, which form part of the company policy, have the highest priority. Thus the company's Environmental Declaration, published in October 2000, was selected for inclusion in the publication "German Standards - Exemplary Environmental Reports" (Deutsche Standards - Vorbildliche Umweltberichte) recently issued by the publishers Arcum.

Also the strategy to consider all the various aspects of the material PVC forms an integral part of company policy: Not only PVC as a raw material, but also its use and application as well as the economic and social impact of PVC, are in the centre of interest.

New Participation at the K`2001: Transparency and Vitality
This theme consistently forms the basis for Vinnolit's participation at the K`2001: No longer will PVC be presented only as a raw material; instead, "living" with PVC will be highlighted. The stand at the exhibition is designed in the form of a modern high-tech laboratory, in which "pipelines" lead the visitor's gaze to a "Centre of Competence", in which three PC-workstations have been set up on an elliptical platform. Here interested visitors can either inform themselves about the company's products and services, or compile their own information brochures on the internet.

A "laboratorium fluidum" and a "laboratorium solidum" are also available to cater for the gastronomic needs of Vinnolit's guests. Between these two, a large 5x2m touch-me wall fitted with transfusion bags containing PVC as powder, granulate or paste encourages visitors to experience PVC at first hand. Also shown are examples of everyday practical applications such as window profiles, pharmaceutical foils or superposters. The transparent seats in the conference area double as showcases in which products made from PVC are displayed: these range from children's water wings to credit cards, flooring material, loudspeaker cables and even mouse pads. A polymerisation autoclave illustrates the company's new internal cooling technology - an innovation unique in the world. For the first time Vinnolit presents itself not only as an innovative PVC supplier but also as a competent supplier of technology.

A particularly new experience for visitors to the exhibition will be the daily dialogue event on the Vinnolit stand at 17 minutes past 5pm or "17 Uhr 17": This is an invitation to customers, prospective customers and interested members of the industrial public including the press to engage in open dialogue. Well known experts from the field of PVC will present advantages and strengths of this material. Topics such as: "Only the sky over PVC" (construction textiles), "PVC saves lives" (medical products) or "Which money rules the world?" (innovative cash and credit card applications) are planned.

In Düsseldorf Vinnolit can be found in Hall 6, stand C07. Further information as well as the complete Vinnolit program can be found on the internet at www.vinnolit.com .
